There are some flavour, smells and food or memory what brings us to the Christmas time! I don’t know how is it with you but if I feel the smell of orange and dark chocolate I totally get the Christmas feeling.
The most famous fondant was in my childhood the jelly fondant that has been made with orange and dark chocolate. Now I did not prepare fondant but mixed its flavour in friable cookies.
Preparing time: 30 mins
Baking time: 15-20 mins
3 cups flour (I used rice flour)
125 gr butter
2 tbsp tapioca flour
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
100 gr sweetener
1 pcs of orange peel (grated)
½ pcs of orange juice
50 gr dark chocolate
1 pinch of salt
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Mix the egg and the sweetener in a huge bowl. Add the butter and mix until get cream.
Sift in the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add the other ingredients. Tapioca flour is necessera in case you use rice flour.
Cover the dough wiht plastic foil and place to the fridge for 1 hour.
Roll out the dough until it is 0,5 cm thick. Cut out shapes with biscuit cutters.
Put the cookies on a baking tray and bake them for 20 minutes or until the cookies turn light golden brown.
